CEREC is an acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. Used for almost 30 years, this piece of technology allows the Coast Dental team to provide you with same-day porcelain restorations. Many patients put off restorative dental treatments because either they do not have the time or the idea of the treatment puts them off getting the work they needed.

With the CEREC machine you only need one appointment to get the dental restoration you require. An added bonus is that there is no messy impression material being pressed against your teeth, no awkward temporaries in your mouth while you wait a week for the more permanent restoration. And restorations made from the CEREC machine match the shade and colour of your natural teeth.

Ceramic Restorations

If you are looking for fast, aesthetically-pleasing restorations then our CEREC machine is the answer for you. The CEREC machine is a medical grade computer, camera and milling machine. The process starts with taking a digital picture of your prepared tooth. Then the picture is converted into a 3D virtual model of your tooth and your restoration is designed on the screen while you watch. It usually takes around five minutes to design your digital restoration and then the data is sent to the milling unit. Once the restoration has been milled we will place the restoration and your tooth will be restored.
